Myron Floren was an American musician and television personality best known for his work as an accordionist on The Lawrence Welk Show from 1950 to 1982. He was born in Roslyn, South Dakota, and began playing the accordion at the age of nine. He attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and graduated with a degree in music. Floren was a featured performer on The Lawrence Welk Show for 32 years, and was known for his signature polka medleys. He also released several albums of accordion music, including Myron Floren's Polka Party and Myron Floren's Polka Parade. Floren was also a frequent guest on other television shows, including The Tonight Show, The Mike Douglas Show, and The Merv Griffin Show. He was also a guest on the game show To Tell the Truth. Floren was inducted into the International Polka Music Hall of Fame in 1984. He died in 2005 at the age of 85.

Composer, accordionist, educator and singer, educated at Augustana College. He entertained at World War II USO camp shows and earned a War Department citation for front-line entertaining. After the War, he began a radio career in Saint Louis, Missouri until 1950, and, from 1949-1950, he headed the accordion department at the College of Music there. He was a soloist with several dance orchestras, until settling in with his decades-long career with the Lawrence Welk orchestra.
