Budget conscious fashion lovers have uncovered a puffer jacket that is four times cheaper than a popular Australian brand.

Instagram page Kmart Insiders shared a light blue winter coat, that retails for $40 at Kmart, alongside the $169 Decjuba version.

Followers were stunned by the similar designs, praising Kmart for offering an affordable option.

“Wow! What a comparison. These are spot on,” one person commended.

“Kmart you did it again. Love it,” someone else said.

Others pointed out some brands “are so expensive,” adding the large price tag was “unnecessary”.

The budget superstore recently unveiled a line of puffer jackets as part of its autumn/winter ‘21 collection ranging from $20 for kids sizes to $49 for a longline women’s version.

It is also the first ever clothing item from Kmart to be made from 100 per cent recycled polyester.

“We’re pretty excited with this season’s launch because it has got a lot of sustainability product through the mix of our offer,” Natasha Smith, Kmart’s Divisional Merchandise Manager, told news.com.au previously.

“In particular one of our longline puffers has got 100 per cent recycled poly content from reclaimed material.”

The $40 puffer has proved incredibly popular with shoppers with some pointing out it was already “sold out online”.

Those who have managed to find one in store have been sharing snaps wearing the sought-after item on Instagram, stating it is “incredibly warm” to wear.

“I’m glad there are options for me to keep warm but stay stylish,” one woman wrote.
