About Sawyer

Sawyer was born and raised in West Union, Iowa and attended both North Fayette Valley High School and North Fayette Middle School. He was the beloved son of Bruce and Donna Fink, adoring cousin of Tara Lynn Benzing and Alicia Fink, and cherished nephew to Janna Fink-Bowman and Norma Ameling.

After graduating high school in 2014, Sawyer studied at Hawkeye Community College from 2014-2016. He was adventurous and moved to Winter Park, Colorado for some time, working as a Lift Operator at Winter Park Resort. But Iowa was home, and he returned to settle down and begin a career at UPS.

The Difficult Road Ahead

The road ahead will be incredibly difficult for Sawyer's parents, family members, friends, and the greater West Union community. The grief that comes with losing someone so vital at such a young age is immense. Sawyer's loved ones must now pick up the pieces while coping with immeasurable loss.
