Carrie Fletcher is well known for her curly blonde locks but today she cut up to 17 inches of it off to donate to the Little Princess Trust.

The charity makes wigs for children who have lost hair due to illnesses and Carrie has so far raised just over £12,000 which is incredible because her goal was to raise £10,000. She is going to donate the money to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and she wants to keep raising money for them “so that more children get the chance to win their battles”.

We think that it’s amazing of Carrie to do this because it’s already raised a lot of money and awareness for the charities and hopefully it will encourage people to do the same. Today was a big day for her because she has never had her hair cut short so it will take a while for her to get used to. She says that as soon as she found out that you were able to donate her she wanted to do it instantly!

Carrie has achieved some amazing things over the past few years with her career in Les Mis and with her YouTube but we think this will make a huge impact because of her platform. She is a lovely person and this is just one example of the amazing things she has done and we doubt it will be the last.
