Boy Bleach Share Music Video For Latest Single "East End Boys"

April 2024 · 2 minute read

British alt-rock outfit Boy Bleach pay homage to their hometown with the release of the music video for their latest single “East End Boys” – an arresting, and electrifying anthem featuring rising pop recording artist lozeak.

Described as being an ode to the band’s East London roots, as well as a “rebuke of the gentrification of the area that raised them”, the quintet say of the powerful track: “East London is our home, and has always been for most of us. We’ve grown up in an area where every town around us has been gentrified to shit and we’ve noticed the shift in our community. Our home became a trend and it diluted the sanctity of what made it our home, so we wanted to create something that felt like an account of the life and death of our home. Long live East London innit.”

On teaming up and collaborating with the lads, 19-year-old lozeak (real name Lauren Eakins) adds: “It’s so cool to be a part of ‘East End Boys’.  I love Boy Bleach’s vibe so I was excited when they asked me to write a verse for it. The guys are so fun to work with and I’m really excited to see what our fans think about the collab, it’s so sick to have our worlds collide!”
